Bitcoin Enthusiast Decided to Run for President of the USA

Bitcoin enthusiast Kanye West

An ardent Bitcoin enthusiast, musician, and husband Kim Kardashian Kanye West said he decided to run for President of the United States. The crypto community has positively received this news.

From the Stage to Politics

Musician and Bitcoin enthusiast Kanye West said on his Twitter page that he was going to run for President of the United States this year.

Kanye chose the right time for such a statement, political analysts say. Against the backdrop of mass protests in America aimed at combating racism and oppression of the rights of national minorities, West has every chance to get the support of the electorate.

Recall that on May 25, a Minnesota policeman strangled African-American George Floyd. Immediately after this incident, a wave of rallies in support of the black population swept across the United States. Many politicians, stars of show business supported the protests.

Taking advantage of the general mood in society, Kanye West decided to declare his intention to restore justice in the United States and submit his candidacy for the elections to be held in November this year.

The initiative Kanye West was supported by his friend Elon Musk. But Twitter users are divided into two groups. Some simply laughed at West’s statement or left comments that the musician needed a good psychologist.

What Does This Mean for Bitcoin?

Bitcoin Enthusiast

While Americans are discussing West’s bold statement, the crypto community is already considering the possible benefits for Bitcoin. Recall, a few years ago, Kanye West said that he is a supporter of cryptocurrency and recommends that everyone use cyber coins.

This happened after West ordered a cup of coffee for $ 20 and for a long time was indignant that banks charge too much interest in transferring money from a card. According to West himself, it is much more reasonable and profitable to use cryptocurrencies. The fee for sending coins is minimal, which means it is beneficial for the users themselves.

When crypto enthusiasts heard the news about West’s possible intention to run for President of the United States, many were optimistic that cryptocurrencies would still be recognized as official means of payment. And the new US government would finally not oppose the use of digital currencies in society. Whether the hopes of crypto enthusiasts will come true or not, time will tell.
