McDonald’s French branch to play NFT on social media
A total of 20 tokens with animated images of a fast food restaurant chain will be issued.
The French branch of the McDonald’s fast food chain has created a series of NFT tokens tied to animated images of their meals. On Twitter, the company introduced four types of non-interchangeable tokens: Chicken McNuggets, Big Macs, McSunday ice cream, and French Fries.

According to La Réclame, a total of 20 tokens will be issued: five copies of each type. NFTs will appear on the OpenSea site, but they will not be available for purchase. McDonald’s will play them off on their social networks. The contests will take place on Instagram and Twitter in two stages: from 9 to 13 April and from 14 to 18 April.
Russian mixed martial arts fighter and ex-UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov presented his own NFT tokens last month. They will be tied to the cards that the fighter has timed to end his career. In total, three types of cards will be issued: gold, platinum, and diamond.
In March, NFT sales reached a record $ 200 million, more than non-fungible token sales for all of 2020. However, in early April, the NFT market began to decline, and the average cost of one token fell to $ 1.4 thousand, although a month earlier it was $ 3.6 thousand, and in February it reached $ 4.3 thousand.
