140 State Services Switched to Blockchain In Beijing
According to local news, Beijing authorities will talk about their first blockchain project in China’s government services.
It is believed that already 140 applications of government services in Beijing are running on the blockchain. These applications fall into three categories: “data distribution and exchange”, “data sharing” and “electronic certificates and their storage”.
Blockchain is a breakthrough in data exchange that is difficult to implement in the traditional way. Storing electronic certificates, which allows you to store it on the blockchain, increases the reliability and efficiency of verification, ” – said one of the officials responsible for the project.
For example, the blockchain system for registering real estate includes 11 public sectors, including the municipal planning commission, the city’s housing and rural development commission, the tax bureau, and the public security bureau.
Relevant departments will handle real estate registration and store relevant information on the blockchain to ensure the credibility of the electronic license to ensure traceability of the sharing process.
In addition, China is considering using blockchain technology to exchange data between healthcare facilities in the face of future pandemics. So far, Chinese local governments face challenges in implementing blockchain applications as stakeholders are reluctant to share data.
